Our Instructors

Master Mike Fournell Ph.D./Ma.D.Sc.

is an Eighth Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. He has a PhD in Martial Art Science and Martial Art Philosophy. He is a 2007 and 2008 inducted member of the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

He has been involved in Martial Arts for 35 years. He holds Black Belts in AikiJujitsu and Aikido. He has studied Brazilian JuJitsu, Muay Thai, and Escrima/Kali/Arnis extensively.

He is a member of the Martial Art Teacher's Association.

He has been involved in community activities for the last 12 years.

Master Sue Fournell Ph.D./Ma.D.Sc.

is a Sixth Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. She has a PhD in Martial Art Science and Martial Art Philosophy. She is a 2007 and 2008 inducted member of the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

She has been involved in Martial Arts for 25 years. She holds teaching certifications in Yang Style Tai Chi and Chi Kung. She has studied personal safety and Women's self defense.

She is a member of the Martial Art Teacher's Association.

She has been involved in community activities for the last 12 years.

Mark Fournell, Jr. Instructor

is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. He is a 2008 inducted member of the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He has been involed in martial arts for 11 years.

Mark holds a green belt in AikiJujitsu and a purple belt in submission JuJitsu.

Mark has competed in numerous tournaments and has won a Grand Championship in the weapon division. He has also won several 1st places in the forms, weapons and sparring divisions. He recently began competing in a padded stick sparring division.
